The Symposium Venue and Transportation
The 3rd International Oyster Symposium will be held in the Gis Convention Center of National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. Taipei is Taiwan's largest city as well as its economic, political, and cultural center.
From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to the conference venue takes about 1 hour by Airport Bus with a cost of approx. 4 USD/one way, or 50 minutes by Taxi (approx. 45 USD/one way). Around town, the Metropolitan Rapid Transportation (MRT) is inexpensive, fast and convenient. Taxis are also a very convenient and affordable way to travel within Taipei City.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
The IOS3 calls for the submission of high quality oral and poster presentations. Abstracts and full papers must be in English, the official language of the symposium.
Authors are encouraged to consider poster presentations. Due to the limited number of concurrent sessions and available time slots, papers submitted for "oral presentation only" may not be accepted as oral presentations.
Each oral presenter shall be entitled to no more than 15 minutes for a presentation, plus 5 minutes for questions. Oral presenters should use Power Point only. Overhead projectors, slide and video players will not be available or allowed.
Presenters are required to pay their own registration, accommodation and travel expenses. IOS3 cannot subsidize registration fees, travel or hotel costs.


PREPARATION OF ABSTRACTS
Contributors are required to subunit abstracts following the instructions.

1. TITLE OF PAPER
The title should be in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS, with the exception of scientific names which should be UPPER/LOWER CASE AND ITALICIZED, using ARIAL FONT SIZE 12 and SINGLE SPACING. Scientific names should not be preceded or followed by commas or parentheses or other markings.

2. AUTHOR(S), ADDRESS AND EMAIL
Presenting author's name should be with a * after the name.
Please provide the presenting author and corresponding author's email addresses.

3. LENGTH
One page only

4. PAGE SIZE AND MARGINS
Standard A4 paper (210mmΧ297mm) (portait), using 26mm margin throughout (left/right/ top/bottom).

5. PARAGRAPHS
Paragraphs should be separated by a blank line and should not be indented.

6. FIGURES AND TABLES
Inclusions of figures and tables are highly encouraged. They should be readable.

7. FONT AND SPACING
Authors must use ARIAL FONT SIZED 12 with single spacing.

8. DEADLINE
31st July 2009
