At the 112th Annual Meeting of the National Shellfisheries Association, to be held on March 29th ~ April 2nd 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, Dr. Peter Kingsley-Smith ( email@example.com ) from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources’ Marine Resources Research Institute will be chairing a special session on Shellfish Restoration and Conservation.
While this session will likely be predominantly comprised of presentations on oysters, given the extent of such work in the United States in recent decades, presentations on other bivalve species (e.g., mussels, clams, scallops, etc.) and indeed other shellfish taxa (e.g., crabs, abalone, whelk/conch, etc.) are certainly welcome.
This session is intended to be thematically diverse, incorporating talks on both restoration and conservation, and welcoming presentations on restoration for both fisheries as well as ecological functions.
More broadly, this conference promises to draw a large attendance given the popularity and ease of travel of Baltimore as a destination.

Questions specifically about the session can be emailed to Dr. Kingsley-Smith directly
