Geneticist working in IFREMER (Institut Français de Recherche pour l’Exploitation de la Mer). Research mainly dedicated to the genetics of oysters, including quantitative genetics and breeding, polyploidy and cytogenetics, phylogeny, population genetics and genomics.
French representative in the Working Group on the Application of Genetics in Fisheries and Mariculture (WGAGFM), International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) since 1998
Member of the Scientific Commities of the ‘GIS Cryobanque Nationale’ since 2007 and of the ‘Fondation de Recherche sur la Biodiversité’ since 2008.
Associate editor of ‘Journal of Applied Aquaculture’ and member of the Editorial Advisory Committee of ‘Aquatic Living Resources’ since 2007.
