These photos were taken by Dioniso de Souza Sampaio between 2013 and 2015.
These photos are part of his ongoing doctoral thesis titled “Oysterculture in northeastern Pará: Current status and prospects for sustainability” under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Colin Robert Beasley of the Postgraduate Program in Environmental Biology at the Federal University of Pará, Bragança. This research was funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the now extinct Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPA) and was carried out under license number 28304-1 from the Chico Mendes Institute for the Conservation of Biodiversity (ICMBio).
